Dear
Guests,
“Lakewood Lodge” was built for the delight and
comfort of our guests. We want those that come after
to have the same enjoyable experience as those that
came before. If there is anything that you are
unhappy with, please call 540-320-3058. If it is
within our power, we will do our best to resolve the
situation to your satisfaction. As a “thank you” for
helping us with the following requests, if you
reserve for next year’s stay before you leave, you
will be guaranteed a
discount!
Sincerely,
Jerry and Sherry Vaughn (Owners and Managers)
Here are our Guest Requests:
It is your
responsibility to inform all of your guests of the
rules and restrictions contained in the lease
agreement and on this web site. We recommend that
you send this link to them and ask them to read it
thoroughly.
Please DO NOT park
or drive on
the grass unless directed there by attendant during
an event! Park only in graveled or paved areas, but do not
block the driveways.
CAUTION!!
Please do not allow
dogs or children to enter the fish pond. It is
ornamental and not for fishing or swimming.
Help us preserve the environment for the fish.
Also, DO NOT break ice that may be over the pond as
it could KILL the fish.
*Reserve the canoe
ahead of time, if possible, as our other property
may want it, too.
*Lakewood has an Engineered Septic System.
Please put grease and oils in provided zip-lock bags
or disposable plastic container with lid. Then
dispose of in the trash.
*Please, do not flush ANY personal hygiene products
other than toilet paper.
*Please, hand-wash pots and pans and do not use them
on the grill.
*We love dogs but they are not allowed in the pond, on the beds
or furniture.
{Read our "dog owners" page}
*Open fires are allowed only in the fire-pit. Use
caution and common sense. No bonfires, only
campfires. Be prepared to leave a donation for each
night that you use firewood.
*Remember that the HVAC unit will not work properly
if you leave doors and windows open.
* Please do not use towels and wash cloths to remove
make-up. There are towelettes provided.
*Before retiring, please turn down the Amish
Heirloom quilt or place on quilt rack. There are
extra blankets and linens in the armoire, if needed.
*The books in the "take one-leave one" basket will
be available for exchange with one of yours that you
are finished with. Please leave the ones on the
shelves for other guests to enjoy.
*Please, please clean
up after your dog!
(We are aware there
are other dogs in the neighborhood that may
occasionally visit. You are welcome to run them off the property.
Our dog, "Jake", may also visit because he thinks it
is "his" house.) They are all harmless and
just curious about other dogs and guests.
*Please leave Lakewood Lodge as you found it.
This means that you
clean anything that you used. Cleaners are provided.
-
If you prefer not
to clean, please notify us and we will clean
after your stay and your credit card will be
billed $65-$85 cleaning fee. You are still
